Abstract

The main objective of this articleis to develop necessary hardware (sensor modules and communicationsupport infrastructure) and firmware solution for reliable wirelesssensor network. Key standards of interest are, above all, IEEE 802.15.4WPAN and ZigBee. Remote monitoring and data collection features basedon the Ethernet connectivity will be also closely examined. Finally,practical tests of developed hardware and network communicationperformance shall evaluate the whole conception.
