The article aims at impacts of skin diseases of human hands to the process of fingerprint recognition from dactyloscopic field of view and, mainly, from the point of view of access systems in the IT. The dermatologic problems influencing the fingerprint recognition can be divided into three categories based on dubiousness which is caused by them in the process of the automatic fingerprint recognition. Based on changes which can occur we can observe changes of either color of the skin or structure of the papillary lines or both of them. We discuss recovery of papillary lines to their original form after a successful treatment. In case of destructive skin diseases influencing structure of the papillary lines the structure of the fingertip is completely damaged and cannot be recovered.
