Abstract

This article describes methods for liveness detection of a fingerprint in the biometric security systems based on the fingerprints. There are many methods, which can be used to get an unauthorized access to such biometric system. One of the easiest ways is creation of an artificial fingerprint. Potential attacker can be stopped by a liveness detection unit. In the article, there are described new methods of fingerprint liveness detection.
