Knowledge-Based Approach to Risk Analysis Modelling
The article deals with a methodology for the modeling of the risk analysis process of information systems (IS), especially for computerized information systems. The article focuses at building suitable risk analysis models, that can be used for security countermeasure choosing. Risk analysis, which refers to the study of threats and their potential impacts is modeled with the use knowledge based models. The knowledge based model approach was chosen because of complexity of the subject matter. This complexity causes big problems in building classical models. It is shown that knowledge based modeling of the IS risk analysis also has substantial potential in the field of computer security.
