Abstract

This paper presents an architecture of network monitoring adapter intended for 10Gbps technology. The proposed adapter allows producing of statistics of input data flows, sampling of packets with required properties, and payload checking of specific patterns. The architecture is designed for platform FPGA and it is composed of several cooperating application specific nano-processors.  As a preliminary implementation, 1Gbps version of monitoring adapter is presented.
