Abstract

This paper is a short survey of four development tools for rapid prototyping of evolutionary algorithms that were implemented at our department. We have compared the main features of the tools such as extensibility, reusability, portability and visualization. We have also verified how easy they allow the addition of new experiments. Finally we tested the performance of each program package on the multiprocessor task scheduling benchmark.
