Speech parameter extractor software provides a set of parameters to assess the pilot's state and capabilities. The speech recognition and processing system is based on the KALDI toolkit, which is able to recognize English, including non-native speakers. The dictionary and language model of the system are adapted to the needs of pilot training, mainly using the terminology and grammars of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The processed speech signal is parameterized and passed into two consecutive parts. The first part evaluates the pilot's state from speech features and parameters. The second part then uses ICAO grammars to add context to the processed speech signal.
