Verification of a program for evaluation of the transient electric field in an open region

The paper presents results of verification of a new program evaluating the transient electric field in unbounded lossy media. The program utilises the combination of the Laplace transform and the Finite Element Method. The accuracy of the program is verified by comparing the calculated values with analytical results obtained for the potential of a conductive toroid located in two-layer lossy unbounded media.
