Abstrakt

Thisposition paper addresses two issues in the context of genetic improvement.First, it shows that the notion of genetic improvement is not relevant only forsoftware, but also for hardware. Second, it connects genetic improvement withapproximate computing in order to obtain improvements in the cases when errorsin computations can be tolerated.
