Virtual Reality (VR) is an expanding area that finds more and more applications.
Today, VR is used not only for entertainment but also for industrial
applications, research and development, but also for social interaction.
Communication applications for VR find use also for business meetings where we
can imagine such applications as a substantially extended form of
teleconferencing. But with the introduction of new technologies, there are new
security risks. Recent cyber security research from the US has revealed
weaknesses in the Bigscreen communication application and the Unity platform.
Potential attackers were thus able not only to eavesdrop on microphones, but even
to create a botnet of controlled computers.
