Abstract

A new program based on the Finite Element Method has been written and verified, which calculates signals in the three-dimensional Resistive Plate Chamber. Either constant or variable velocity and magnitude of the electron avalanche can be applied as a signal source. The program accuracy was verified comparing the signals with those evaluated analytically for the infinite parallel plate electrodes and for the strip shaped electrodes. Some examples of induced signals in a system of square electrodes are presented.
