New Technique for Non-destructive Testing Using EIT
Dědková Jarmila, prof. Ing., CSc., UTEE (FEEC)
The aim of this paper is to provide a survey of the recent development in new algorithms and techniques to solve the electrical impedance tomography (EIT) inverse problem. The EIT problem is a non-invasive imaging technique where an electrical impedivity distribution in a domain is reconstructed from voltage measurement captured on its boundaries. This is an ill-conditioned non-linear inverse problem. The modified Newton-Raphson method with Tikhonov and Total variation regularizations and new technique based on the controlled selection of non-homogeneities are applied to obtain the high-quality reconstruction in EIT problems. Numerical results of the reconstruction of an electrical conductivity distribution obtained using all methods are presented and compared.
