Abstract
The existing five-year study program at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Technology, BUT Brno, has been divided according to the European education trends into three-year bachelor and two-year master study program since year 2002. The knowledge of electrical engineering of incoming students depends on the type and the level of graduated secondary school. Some problems and experience resulted from the practical realization of structured study are described in the proposed paper.
