Abstract

Project of fondantion of te Faculty od Information Technology at BUT Jan M Honzík The paper sumarises the history of the attempts to found the independent faculty oriented to IT at the Brno University of Technology. The reasons for the new attept is demonstrated, which leaded to successful astarting of the fondation. The profile of tyhe faculty is defined. Transformation changes at the faculty are briefly mentioned.
