Abstract

This paper deals with stepwise development of systems based onrules-based approach. Modeling using this approach usually starts witha rough model of a system which is refined in further steps. Thisapproach is based on rules and transformations as known from theory ofHLR systems. Preservation of certain system properties during thisprocess is of importance. In the context of Petri Nets the developedproperty preserving rules and transformation restrict the variety ofmodeling possibilities to refinement of the system by additionaldetails. The concept of the modeled system forced the redevelopment ofthe whole system from origin. Otherwise the property preserving rulescold not be employed and the tedious investigation of system propertieshad to be done for the final system. In this paper we describe thepossibility of building new property preserving rules from other oneswhich are suitable for redesign of system's parts.
