Abstract

Rapid increase of network devices demands a sophisticated management and maintanence of these devices. These do not end with correct initial configuration and error detection. One of the important issues is regular traffic and performance monitoring of the devices and their connections and estimation of the future requirements. This article shows traditional approaches to network management and presents software and hardware tools that can help network administrators.
