Abstract

Rapid increase of network devices demands a sophisticated managementand maintanence of these devices. These do not end with correct initialconfiguration and error detection. One of the important issues isregular traffic and performance monitoring of the devices and theirconnections and estimation of the future requirements. This articleshows traditional approaches to network management and presentssoftware and hardware tools that can help network administrators.
