REconfigurable POlymorphic MOdule (REPOMO) will be a new reconfigurablechip intended for experimental applications of evolvable andpolymorphic hardware. In this paper, we analyze various reconfigurationoptions for this platform with the aim of finding such areconfiguration subsystem which maximizes the success rate ofevolutionary circuit design conducted using REPOMO. An interestingoutcome of this analysis is that a relatively high success rate ofevolutionary design can be achieved using relatively simplereconfiguration options which have to be implemented in hardware. These results are also relevant for evolutionary circuit design whichis performed using Cartesian Genetic Programming.
