Abstract

Current tools for automatic document processing as for example indexing or
comparison usually work with the document text only. However, there is
a significant part of the information contained in documents that may be
expressed by visual means. The visual information is not explicitly described in
the document and there doesn't exist any suitable model that would allow its
further use in document processing methods. This paper deals with a proposal of
such a model suitable for describing and further processing of the visual
information.
