The papers deals with a principle of wireless Bluetooth connection and a concepts of a novel wireless smart sensor network system, which represents the system architecture formed by a set of the wireless smart pressure IEEE 1451 sensors (first world prototypes) connected via a Bluetooth connection and a network concentrator/controller based on (i) a PDA personal digital assistant or (ii) a GSM SmartPhone. The special software applications was developed for IPAQ PDA 5450 and Nokia 3650 SmartPhone. This SW applications fit system requirements for monitoring, parameter setting and exploiting all embedded functions of the novel smart pressure sensor with Bluetooth wireless interface (slave function). Another SW application for standard PC enables to process data in MS Office formats. The paper describes a modern data acquisition system, which will serve as a smart data acquisition system capable of storing and presenting measured data over Intranet/Internet. The described data acquisition system will serve as a public monitoring system or as a part of measurement system in a technological process where it will allow collecting data from sensors located on rotating parts or places that are difficult to reach.
