NexTArc - Next Generation Open Innovations in Trustworthy Embedded AI Architectures for Smart Cities, Mobility and Logistics

Leveraging AI-driven smart technologies, with an emphasis on urban-industry
interconnection, sustainable living and sustainable production, holds the
transformative potential to enhance the sustainability and climate resilience of
EU urban and industrial spaces. Recognizing this potential, NexTArc is devoted to
augmenting the adoption of Trustworthy edge AI and IoT across 3 complementary and
interrelated sectors reprented as use-cases: i) Smart, Sustainable and Liveable
Neighbourhood in Urban Spaces (SLN), ii) Smart, sustainable and transparent
industrial Spaces (STI), iii) Trustworthy and Eco-friendly Multimodal
Connectivity of Urban and Industrial Spaces through people and freight
mobility-TEM).

Building on this vision, we aim to promote cross-fertilization of ideas among
a broad spectrum of stakeholders (37 partners/ 10 countries) integrated over
a five-fold approach: a) cyber-resilience on chip; b) low-power embedded AI; c)
heterogeneous edge-cloud connectivity; d) improved computation and dependability
covering the high-performance needs; e) holistic solution stack enabling
trustworthy services, which resonate with the EU CHIPS Act, 2ZERO, CCAM, Cities'
Mission and Process4Planet frameworks.
