Abstract

The aim of the project is to deepen the cooperation of BUT with the industrial
environment, conretely the startup Cognitechna Ltd., in the form of joint
research. Particularly, computer vision algorithms based on neural networks will
be developed. Cognitechna is currently focused on integrating these "smart"
algorithms into embedded devices with limited power, input and size. The
collaboration should bring innovations in terms of adapting and optimizing neural
network algorithms for such devices to suit the required speed of processing
(often in real time) for the task and with sufficient accuracy. The project will
focus on heterogeneous computing platforms that combine different computing
resources, thus opening up wider possibilities for optimizing algorithm
calculation for a given platform.
