Virtuální technicko-lékařské pracoviště pro 3D modelování lidských tkání

Clinical applications of 3D human tissues models created from CT/MR data are
world trend and have been called "Tailor surgery".  Close cooperation between
technician and medical doctors is necessary to realize such interdisciplinary
applications. In practice, creation of a real laboratory interested in this
problematic is very difficult, considering both personal and technical aspects.
Main goal of the project is development and practical usage of a "Virtual
technical/medical laboratory for 3D human tissues modeling". The laboratory will
integrate specialists and special technical equipment for their interactive
network communication. During the project we want to realize the laboratory
incorporating FIT BUT Brno and some clinics of MF MU Brno and develop special
software system for interactive network communication. Having such system, it
will be possible to share CT/MR data, evaluate and consult tissues segmentations
and its 3D models. Results of the project will cover the necessary software tools
and also the practical experiences with the laboratory.
