Description

The result of the beneficiary's project is a system for soil analysis and soil evaluation. The solution works on the basis of spectral analysis, which is based on the knowledge that every object with a non-zero absolute temperature glows and when interacting with different types of electromagnetic radiation, reflection, absorption or the passage of radiation can occur. Machine learning elements were implemented to analyze and evaluate individual electromagnetic spectra, which enabled the prediction of individual soil properties. Using a mobile phone, the solution enables analyzing and evaluating the key properties of the soil and its current nutrient content in order to achieve optimized production and efficient use of inputs for agricultural production or for the maintenance of urban greenery and sports grounds. The solution will significantly save water irrigation resources and allow farmers to regularly analyze the soil on the spot, without additional costs for the laboratory, travel, etc. During the research and development of the solution, the beneficiary cooperated with the project partner - Brno University of Technology.
