Experimental camera system, Traffic monitoring, License plate detection, Reserved
lanes

The result is a functional prototype of an experimental traffic monitoring camera
system. It is an experimental modification of an existing camera system with
a built-in computer system powered by an Intel Atom processor. The camera system
has newly added features for detecting traffic objects, as planned, specifically
for license plate detection using a neural network, as well as detection of
vehicles with a "beacon". This detection is used to identify vehicles that are
authorized to drive in designated lanes. The result has been experimentally
verified and will be used primarily for the next phase of the project as well as
a demonstrator.
