-external siteThere are many different selections, when it comes to outdoor lighting however not many homeowners pay attention to them. It is as simple as getting in your car and driving around to see what other people have done with the exterior of their home. Of course you should do this and night and you will see that not many people have lit the exterior of their home very well. Whatever they have, most will have ordinary walkway lights, which look good. Nonetheless, this is about as much as you'll see because most people don't put a lot of thought into this part of their home. When it comes to energy costs, you really don't have to fret because there are a lot of lighting choices that operate with solar power. There are several more possibilities than you can probably imagine, of course you need to look into them.+====== Analysis of Information Dashboards Usability ======

-One of the many convenient aspects of outdoor lighting is you can create beautiful lighting designs without spending much moneyYour choices will really be determined by your own imagination. One option is to fashion hanging lanterns and there are tons of different colors to choose from. You can find these kinds of outdoor hanging lanterns that are solar poweredOr, you can craft them and affix your own solar operated light fixtures inside themAll you really need to do is learn a little but there is nothing difficult about itCraft as many as you would like and then hang them up any place you like+In the past, information systems were highly connected with industryNowadays, information systems are becoming more and more standard tool in everyday life. People are surrounded by a rising amount of data which are important for managing their future goals and plansThey are looking for better solutions which can save their time and moneyThat motivates software companies to evolve their products to be more intuitive and user-friendly. Higher focus is put on user interfaces which make bridge between users and information systemsTheir goal is to record users actions and respond by corresponding events. Such event can be __presentation of required information__ according to which user makes further decisions.

-Hanging lanterns that are made out of paper offer a simple way to transform the look of your landscaping. You might not come across these all too often, as few people take them into consideration. These kinds of lanterns can be found on various websites and they cost very little. You should take the weather conditions into consideration, since these shouldn't be left out in the rain. Furthermore, paper lanterns are ideal for use during any season, except winter. If your property boasts a gazebo, you can hang up many of them in there and have a tranquil evening with your family or friends. Remember to get a range of different color schemes for different surroundings and moods.+----

-Have you ever heard of cubic furniture? It is a style that has been around for decades. Chairs will be square shaped, almost like a perfect cube. But what is on the market now is cubic furniture that contains lighting. These are perfect for the outdoor patio, or walled in patio enclosure - very unique! Be careful with your outdoor pool and these chairs because a shock hazard can be created. Instead of sitting on them, you need to use them for appearance sake only. So when you go to your pool in remodeling The House evening, they can be very fun to look at at night. +Presentation of information is difficult task because we usually want to //squeeze// a lot of information in limited amount of space without decreasing of screen comprehensibility:

-It is so easy to overdo it with outdoor lighting for number of reasonsIt will make your home much more attractive at night, which can be funYou need to go slowand do what you need to doAnd be careful - it can be addictive! Your urge to do more each day will always be thereTry to pace yourselfbut also get everything done as soon as possible.+\\ //image source: Edward Tufte: The Visual Display of Quantitative Information//

+The focus of our research is put on **//information dashboard//** which is kind of user interface that helps to analyse data and make better decisions. Its purpose is to present __important__ information on __single__ screen by __comprehensive__ and __simple__ way, so user can __quickly understand the meaning__ of presented information.

+//A dashboard is a visual display of the most important information needed to achieve
+one or more objectives; consolidated and arranged on a single screen so the information can be monitored at a glance.//

 +
+As it has been shown by Stephen Fewthere are many dashboards which contain usability problemsHe therefore described several useful advices how to avoid these usability problems. Problem isthat it is not always easy to correctly apply them if we are not design experts.
 +
+This is the reason why we are developing tool which should be able to evaluate dashboard and detect usability problems, measure dashboard quality and classify dashboards into groups. We established framework which basically describes workflow of dashboard evaluation. It consists of four phases:
 +
 +----
 +
 +<WRAP left round box 20%>
 +**Input Dashboard**
 +
 +- raster image\\
 +- web page
 +</WRAP> **⇒**
 +<WRAP left round box 20%>
 +**Internal representation**
 +
 +- histograms\\
 +- graphical elems
 +</WRAP> **⇒**
 +<WRAP left round box 20%>
 +**Attributes**
 +
 +- colorfulness\\
 +- balance\\
 +- symmetry\\
 +...
 +</WRAP> **⇒**
 +<WRAP left round box 20%>
 +**Dashboard quality**
 +
 +- well designed\\
 +- unbalanced\\
 +...
 +</WRAP>
 +
 +----
 +
+At the beginning we have some dashboard which can be represented by raster image (matrix of pixels) or it can be described by some language (HTML + CSS, ...). It needs to be converted into internal representation which contain only important information about dashboard (eg. simplified information about graphical element or dashboard histograms). This internal representation can be then used to measure dashboard attributes which correspond with dashboard usability (such like //colorfulness////balance//, //symmetry// etc.). These attributes can be then used as a features for further calculations - like dashboard classification based machine learning algorithms.
